Maltipoo Weight Chart
The Maltipoo Weight Chart here is obtained from a summary of a survey conducted by PetMaltipoo in April 2018. There are at least a total of 2,596 respondents divided into several countries, namely 83% in the US, 4% in Canada, 2% in the UK, 1% in Australia, and the remaining 10% in various other countries around the world.
One of the questions researchers asked was how much their Maltipoo weighed in adulthood. This question is of course given only to those who have adult Maltipoos (who have finished growing). The question was devoted to seeking results about the age of the Maltipoos as most of them did not reach their final adult weight until the 10 to 12 month mark.
Well, the survey results mark that Maltipoo categorized as ‘young adult 1 – 3 years old have an approximate age of 49%, categorized as ‘adult’ 4 – 8 years old have an approximate age of 22% and categorized as ‘senior’ more than 9 years old have an approximate age of 5%.
Out of 1,973 adult dog owners (those with puppies less than 6 months old (9%) and puppies 6 to 11 months (15%) who were not asked about body weight) were asked about their Maltipoo weight; 17% are unsure how much their Maltipoo weighs, so 83% (1,638) should give it weight.

Because Maltipoos have a wide range of weights from a teeny 3 pounds (1,39 kg) to over 17 pounds (7.7 kg), of course, this chart will be helpful to look at this data in larger sub-groups.
Aside from the chart, the survey also lists the results of Maltipoo weight by percentage, from low to high. The percentage here is based on 1,638 Maltipoo dogs 1 year and older which are presumed to be at their final adult weight and arranged in order of percentages.

From the chart above,we can see that the majority of Maltipoo by 70% which is equal to 1147 dogs were 7 to 13 lbs (3.1 kg). A good number by 20% which is equal to 327 dogs were 14 to 17+ lbs (6.35 to 7.7 kg). And a small number by 10% which is equal to 164 dogs were 3 to 6 lbs (1.36 to 2.7 kg).

Maltipoo Weight Classification
You may also wonder whether the Maltipoos are considered to be toy breed dogs or small breed dogs. Officially, only purebreds are grouped as such, however, unofficially, the answer is both. Here are for Maltipoo size classes:
- Toy
Toy is the smallest size of a Maltipoo hybrid dog. The most Toy Maltipoo is between 3 and 10 pounds although the top maximum weight is 18 lbs. While, for height, the Toy Maltipoo is generally between a tiny 6 inches to 10 inches.
- Small
The Maltipoo categorized in small size is some crossover between Toy and small weights and heights. Commonly, the most small breed dogs are around 10 to 25 lbs.
- Medium
For medium size Maltipoo, there is also some crossover, but most dogs considered medium-sized are in the 20 to 40 lbs.
- Large
The Maltipoo dogs categorized as large size commonly fall between 55 and 85 lbs.
- Giant
There are not a lot of dogs which have the giant size especially for Maltipoo. However, for dogs categorized as giant size approximately has size with eights over 100 lbs and even 200 lbs. For the height, they will be around 30 inches measured from floor to withers while a dog is standing on all four feet upward of 30 inches.
Is It Possible to Gain More Weights from Standard Weight?
The answer is totally Yes, it’s possible for you to gain more weight for Maltipoos when needed. The first thing you should do is take your Maltipoo to the vet to check if your Maltipoo has malnutrition or stunted growth problems.
Of course, it is possible that your Maltipoo has certain illnesses and conditions that could cause him to struggle to gain weight or an adult having trouble maintaining his weight. Treatment for Maltipoo who has certain diseases or medical conditions will vary depending on the problem.
